Past and current projects involving Citizen Conservation.

Thousands of species are on the brink of extinction. It will no longer be possible to preserve them all in the wild. For many animals, breeding in human care is their only chance of surviving for the next few decades. Zoos have been working on such programs for a long time, but their capacities and resources are limited. Numerous private owners have space, time, commitment and knowledge. Citizen Conservation brings both together – together against species loss, in a variety of projects around ex situ species conservation.
